A senior Russian army officer has been declared dead following an blast in Moscow, according to reports from authorities.
The event happened on Monday morning when an IED concealed beneath a vehicle detonated, leading to the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov served as the head of the armed forces' department for training operations.
