It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defense and Allen trying to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the calm, disciplined, balanced Bills we've witnessed this season

The Dolphins have demonstrated a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

While you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which includes just one game against a winning team, albeit a huge one against the Bills

Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but encounter the same problem) and additionally the Packers on the schedule

The Indianapolis also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There's a long way to go but the door is open for a shock number one position in the American Football Conference

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in week one, before falling to the final play of the game against the Buccaneers - so they're truly among the top teams in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far
